II. One Reflection and Two Artifacts PER Learning Outcome

III. Project Statement

IV. Reflection about the meaning of happiness in your own life

  • Have two essays significantly revised from their previous graded versions

Critical Analysis

  • Let your portfolio show that you have thought critically about the topics of writing and happiness

​

  • Discuss complexities and don’t make things seem simpler than they are

​

  • Explain how your supporting evidence connects to your reflection, how your artifacts SHOW what you want them to show

Using the texts

  • Engage with the authors even as you are reflecting on your own journey

​

  • Explain the ideas in the texts for readers who have not read them. Be their teacher and guide. 

​

  • Use quotations to make your points come alive.

Development 

  • Use specific examples from your own experience and from the reading/research you have done

​

  • Explain how your examples make the point you’re trying to make

Organization

  • Present ideas in an order that makes sense to readers who have not taken our class

​

  • Have page tabs and menus clearly marked in your e-portfolio

​

  • Break your ideas into manageable chunks for your readers

Grammar and Mechanics

  • Proofread carefully

  • Write in a clear, readable style
