ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm an English professor at Riverside City College; I've been teaching in the district since 1998. Last summer, I got to stop being a teacher and start being a student. Over summer break, I took: "Teaching Men of Color," "Unconscious Bias," "We Can Do This! Teaching Online in Crisis and Beyond," and "Hello, Is It Me That You're Looking For? E-portfolios as Tools for Engagement, Assessment, and Completion." These classes stretched my brain, kept me busy, let me see online learning from the student perspective, & helped me to be a better professor. It took me five tries to get this picture on here (hot tip: use embed photo, not image/file upload), and now I realize it doesn't really look like me at all. I'm about six years older now; my hair is greyer, and I think my eyes have deadened somehow. But this is a nice picture, and it will do for this exercise!
